Day Services

Our day services for adults and young people in Wood Green provide individual learning programmes to suit each student's learning needs. A variety of visual communication systems such as TEACCH are used to help the students to express themselves.

Activities

Students participate in a range of structured activities designed to enhance communication, independent living and leisure skills. These include basic education and language work; social and communication skills; arts and crafts, music, sport, cookery, swimming and other leisure activities. Students are also supported through our outreach service in college, employment, at home or in the community as an alternative to building based services if they so wish. Exhibitions of our users artwork are a regular feature of the day service.

The service base is a large Victorian house with a garden and workshop annexe. This gives students the necessary space to develop basic skills, areas for relaxation and an outdoor area for gardening.
