Travel

By Tube

We are about 7 minutes walking distance from Wood Green LT Station (Piccadilly Line). On leaving the station, turn right and walk up the hill until the road forks at the parish church (St. Michael’s). Take the left fork (Bounds Green Road) and walk on the left hand side for about 200 yards until you reach Park Avenue at the first set of traffic lights. Turn left into Park Avenue and cross the road. The Day Services are in the first end of terrace house, the wrought iron garden gate has AH lattice work in the centre.

by bus

Many bus routes pass through or terminate at Wood Green and the number 221 passes along Bounds Green Road and stops in Bounds Green Road at Park Avenue, a ‘request’ stop. Other routes passing nearby are: 29, 67, 121, 123, 141, 144, 184, 230, 232, 243, 329, W3, W4.

by train

In addition an approach (about 5 minutes walk) may be made from Alexandra Park BR Station which is served by trains from Moorgate or Kings Cross to Hertford, Hatfield, Cambridge and beyond.

Leave the station and cross the road to ‘The Gate’ public house. Walk obliquely through the park and down to Park Avenue at the bottom of the slope. Turn left and follow the road along on the left hand side, to the end of the terrace. The last house is the Day Service.

by car

There are no parking spaces at the Day Services premises at the time of writing, but free parking may be had in Nightingale, Truro or Clarence Roads, about 200 yards further along Bounds Green Road on the right. There is metered parking in Braemar Avenue around the corner from the Day Service by the Baptist Church, a short distance away.

Two designated spaces for Disabled Drivers are directly in front of the premises and these may be available from time to time but Blue Badge holders will be aware that they are able to park freely in the CPZ zones in Park Avenue and the surrounding streets in any case.

There is limited space to temporaily park your vehicle at the Art and Craft Studio when making deliveries or collections. Please contact the studio (details above) prior to your arrival to confirm your visit and receive advice about parking.
