Social Skills Course

Advanced Social Skills Course:  Anxiety and Social Skills.

 

The course will aim to facilitate group members to increase their:

 

  • Self awareness.
  • Understanding of Anxiety.
  • Understanding of Social Situations and Anxiety.

 

The Advanced Social Skills Training Course will cover the following themes:

 

Þ   Asperger’s Syndrome, socials skills and the link with anxiety

Þ   The physical symptoms of anxiety and recognising these

Þ   Recognising the difference between thoughts and feelings

Þ   Understanding how thoughts, feelings and behaviour are connected and maintained 

Þ   Negative thinking, social situations and anxiety

Þ   Mindfulness and anxiety

Þ   Relaxation techniques and anxiety

 

The course will aim to be fun and interactive and will hand out homework tasks at the end of each session.

 

Who: For adults who have Asperger’s Syndrome or are at the high functioning end of the spectrum  

(You may need an assessment to ensure that this group is suitable for you)

 

Where: The HUB, 2 Park Avenue, Wood Green, N22 7EX

 

When:  Starting Thursday 14th November 3:30- 5:30pm — 8 sessions held weekly

 

Cost:     Each session costs £25 total price of course is £200
