Social skills group

The social skills groups consist of a series of eight, 1½ hour sessions aimed at supporting adults with Asperger's Syndrome and high-functioning autism. The groups look at issues such as friendships and social interactions. Specific areas of difficulty, such as conversational skills, assertiveness and relationships are discussed and practised in small groups. The groups also spend one session visiting the community at an extra charge.

Socail Skills Group

"Jane has attended the social skills group and said that the best part was the interaction that she had with group members Glynne, Steve and Ray as they brought great dynamics to the group. She misses Ray from the group. Jane said that she learnt more awareness of two way conversations with people and is developing this."
